Mexico and USA did battle (on the football pitch, not another struggle for Texas) and Mexico earned their place in the Confederations Cup with a 3-2 win in extra time. The game was tied 1-1 heading into the extra period after goals from Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Geoff Cameron. Oribe Peralta netted in extra time and Bobby Wood equalized only for Paul Aguilar to score the winner in the 118th minute.
The better team on the day won and the result was fitting. Mexico out possessed the Americans 63% to 37% and also out shot them 23-14.

Dearest Charlotte,
The outlook for my brigade is less than desirable. It has been a long summer, filled with hot days and a rogue Jamaican attack that we could not repel. We’re fighting on home soil in the Rose Bowl but we seem to be heavily outnumbered. But know my men will not fold nor quit. If I fail to return, tell my sons I love them.
Love,
Lieutenant Robert

“This is to you, Louis Van Gaal, I told you I can still make goals and happy times with my feet! Take me back to United?”
Geoff Cameron doesn’t score much, the idea of a goal celebration is foreign to him. So he sticks to what he knows best: flexing and hollering.

Michael Bradley is rather numb to receiving yellows nowadays due to the volume of cards he’s seen.

“Thank you, everybody, I just want to take this opportunity to remind you that we scored our two goals solely because of me, but the three we conceded is blatantly thanks to the MLS it’s their fault don’t question me nor criticize.”
