On Tuesday evening, the Seattle Sounders beat the odds, defeating LAFC at Banc of California Stadium to advance to the MLS Cup Final.

The Will Ferrell-owned LAFC got the scoring started in the 17th minute courtesy of an Eduard Atuesta free-kick.

Seattle had a thunderous response, scoring two goals from Raul Ruidiaz and Nicolas Lodeiro less than ten minutes later to give Seattle the 2-1 advantage before halftime.

Ruidiaz added a third Seattle goal with a clinical finish in the 64th minute.

The Seattle Sounders will host Toronto FC in the MLS Cup final. The Sounders will only get stronger with defender Roman Torres returning to fitness after missing the Conference Final with a hamstring injury as a precaution.

Carlos Vela’s spectacular 2019 campaign has come to an end with a silent performance against the rock-solid Sounders. Brian Schmetzer and the Seattle Sounders will search to win their second MLS Cup on November 10.
